Making Health Screening Accesible

Help us bring certified evaluators to more communities so Frenchies can access essential testing.

The French Bulldog Foundation of America hosts multi-screening health clinics that offer important evaluations for French Bulldogs and other breeds. These clinics include Respiratory Function Grading (RFG/BOAS) testing along with other recommended screenings, giving owners and breeders practical, actionable information in one setting.

One of the main challenges to getting RFG/BOAS evaluations it that there simply AREN'T enough OFA certified evalautors... YET.

The French Bulldog Foundation of America is dedicated to make these hard-to-find clinicians available AND to oboard additional evaluators while we host these clinics in multiple states.

In 2026 we have already hosted two clinics, paid for entirely by our volunteer board members. Three additional clinics are being scheduled before the end of the year.

The primary remaining cost is travel and lodging for the specialized veterinarians, particularly the OFA-certified RFGS evaluators who perform the Respiratory Function Grading assessments. Your support covers these expenses so the clinics can move forward an increase in frequency.

Why These Clinics Matter

We work with dedicated professionals, including certified OFA RFGS evaluator Dr. Julia Ziegler, DVM, and share educational resources featuring experts such as Dr. Jane Ladlow, developer of the Respiratory Function Grading Scheme.

They combine multiple health screenings in one accessible event.
RFG is the only objective, OFA-recognized test for Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome, and certified evaluators are still limited in number.
Each clinic increases geographic access to important testing and helps more veterinarians gain experience with the RFG protocol.
These events directly support our mission of Health Above All Else and strengthen the Legacy of Health and Verified Breeder programs.
