Verified Breeder Page

Trust But Verify

This is our independently vetted list of French Bulldog breeders who have met our criteria for health testing and transparency, including verifiable public OFA certifications for breed recommended health tests (hips, patellas, cardiac, eyes.). 


We focus on ethics and health, awarding a "Verified" seal only after confirming eligibilty via a combination of public databases or documentation provided by the Breeder themselves, such as such as Preliminary OFA certifications or spine reports.


OFA HIP RESULTS: Semi-Open Database

Note: in the instance of public hip test results in OFA, if the French Bulldog was tested before age 24 months (Preliminary) and the owner did not submit authorization to release abnormal results, OFA will not make even the NORMAL results availble to the public. 


While FBDFA does not agree entirely with that policy, we acknowledge the right OFA to make that decision. With that in mind, if you do not see a dog with hip results, it does not mean necessarily that the dog was untested. Many breeders have thus provided their certifications in addition to the public OFA database.
